Corsair Fast Mounting

This year, we are adding a new Hardware test, consisting of mounting a PC as fast as possible, which will really test your Hardware skills.

Contest rules and regulations

• Four fully operative 4 PCs will be available for the test.
• The groups will be made up of a maximum of one member.
• In each round, each contestant will be given a motherboard and a box to mount the PC. The hardware required to mount the PC will be laid out on another table.  Contestants will have to be CAREFUL as each motherboard is different and one will need an ATX power supply or a DDR memory, which is where their knowledge of hardware will be tested.
• If a contestant selects a piece of hardware that is not necessary to mount his/her PC, s/he cannot continue until the item has been returned to the table where it was collected from, as contestants have to make sure 100% that everything fits and is correct before mounting.
• The stopwatch begins from the starting signal and ends where someone has mounted the equipment and correctly accesses the initial menu of the motherboard and makes a dummy run of starting up in any of the HDD: (NO Operating System NEEDS TO BE LOADED).
• A minimum number of screws will be needed for the motherboard and everything must be properly secured as the hardware has to be well mounted.
• The contest will take part in the hardware area and the 3 best times will be selected from among all the participants to take part in the final.
• There will be referees making sure that the contestants do not break any rules. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  ONE PRIZE WILL ALSO BE DRAWN FROM AMONG ALL THE PARTICIPANTS WHO WERE NOT WINNERS.
