GENERAL RULES

Only one work is allowed for each category and person, except the demos and 64kb and 4kb intros.

The production's author must be physically in the party. If it is a teamwork, at least one of the team members must attend the Euskal, to give the production to the organizers, and to take the prize in case of winning.

The productions must be presented before the deadline. No production will be accepted after the deadline. Those deadlines will be announced repeatedly.

The demos and intros can be tested in the compo machines to verify they run correctly. The test will be done in order and as possible.

We remind you that there could be incompabilities between some video modes and the video projector, this risk exists and it cannot be forseen.

Before each PC Demo, the computer will be reset to avoid incompabilities with the former demo. ULTRINIT and SB16SET will be run to leave the Sound Cards into a reasonable state. AMIGA: the computer will be switched Off and On again.

All the Demos and Intros must be able to abort pressing the ESC key on PC, or pressing ESC or the left mouse button on Amiga productions. Those productions that do not meet this rule will be disqualified.

Amiga productions should not require assigns, and should open its screen, as well.

The productions will be shown to the Jury before the big screen replay, in another room. If the Jury disqualifies a production, it won't be shown to the public.

In the same way, the organization keeps its right to disqualify any production with contents that are racist, of bad taste or any other theme that could hurt public sensibility.

If more than 15 productions present to a category, the Jury would be able to do a preselection to discard productions to show to the public. This is, only the best 15 productions will be shown in the big screen, and the replay order won't necessarily be the clasification order decided by the Jury.

During the showing of every compo entry at the Party, including Demos, graphics and music, IT WON'T BE ALLOWED to play any type of sound or noise at your computer that could annoy to the audience. In case somebody doesn't follow this rule more than once, the Organization reserves the right to force the autor of the noise to stop it, or even to throw him out of the Party.

For the productions delivery, this year we'll have a dedicated server again. Thanks to the type of net we're developing, you'll be able to upload the productions quickly to the organization. In any case, the productions can be delivered in disks and also in CD-ROMs, but not in any other format. Productions delivered in ZIP, JAZZ, Magneto-optics or hard disk will NOT be accepted.

The Wild compo productions MUST be presented in VHS tapes, in SP format (not Long Play). Disks and CD-ROM won't be accepted in the Wild compo but they will be accepted in 3D Animation.

The sound table will be UNTOUCHABLE to anybody not belonging to the organization. The table will be adjusted the same way for everybody at the music compos, and also in demos, intros, etc.

It won't be accepted ANY MACHINE to show any work (including Demos, Intros, etc.) except those of the Organization. All productions must run in one of the organization's machines in order to get accepted in one of the compos.

ALL the works, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, will be spreaded after the prize ceremony, even if they are Beta versions, and without having in mind the authors desire or not. When delivering a production for any compo, you'll have to fill in a form with some information. ALL THOSE WHO DON'T DELIVER THE FILE WITH THEIR INFORMATION WITH THEIR PRODUCTION, WON'T GET ACCEPTED THEIR PRODUCTION TO THE COMPO.

In the same way, ALL the productions must have a FILE_ID.DIZ (identification file) inside or besides it. Any production not meeting this rule won't be accepted, very important to identify the production's authors and the productions themselves.

Every work presented at the Demo, Intro, Wild Compo, or Animation Compos must include at least a captured screen, to include it in the Web Page as fast as possible, after the compo. This screen could be asked for by any press agency or magazine that want to cover the Euskal.
