Euskal Encounter 24, one of the biggest computer parties in Europe and one of the fastest in the world, will be larger than ever. There will be 512 extra seats and a total of 4.608 computer locations in order to try to meet the huge demand to attend this gathering. However, the party’s followers have responded with a new record-breaking time: all available seats have been reserved in only five minutes.

The event, that will take place between the 22th and 25th of July in Bilbao Exhibition Centre of Barakaldo (Spain), will provide a giant network of interconnected computers distributed in an area of 35,000 square meters. Dozens of activities and competitions will take place for four uninterrupted days and thousands will visit the huge pavilion that will hold the party.

That is precisely one of the main goals of Euskaltel Konekta, the Foundation through which Euskaltel connects with society, people and their ideas. Apart from Euskaltel, this party is only possible thanks to the financial support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Basque Government through SPRI.

In this year's edition, there will be talks dealing with a great variety of topics and they will be open to the visitors and general public. The free access area will be located next to the computer area to enable the visitor’s involvement in the party’s atmosphere. The audience will have the chance to learn about more than 30 topics, such as programming, digital design, social networks, robotics and video gaming. They will also have the opportunity to buy the latest products and get to know the newest technology in the stand area, where they would be able to print their own design in a 3D printer or try the best augmented reality glasses.
