Robert Kirkman
Robert Kirkman is the creator of many popular comic books, including the Eisner Award-winning The Walking Dead, long-running Invincible, and all-ages Super Dinosaur, and the new exorcism comic, Outcast, which will be released June 2014, and is also in development as a television show with Fox International for CINEMAX.
Since entering the comics scene with his self-published cult-hit Battle Pope in 2000, the Kentucky native has risen to fame as one of the most successful names in comics and entertainment. In 2008, Kirkman became a partner at Image Comics, and in 2010, he opened Skybound, his own imprint at Image, which publishes his titles as well as other original work.
That same year, Kirkman continued to expand his presence in the entertainment industry, becoming a creator, executive producer and writer on The Walking Dead television show. The show is in production on its fifth season and has become the highest-rated basic cable drama of all time. To date The Walking Dead is the #1 on television among the coveted 18-49 demo.
Kirkman is also slated to executive produce AMC’s upcoming The Walking Dead spinoff show. Skybound original title Clone, written by David Schulner, is also in development as a television show at Universal. Kirkman will serve as an executive producer on both series.
Under the Skybound Entertainment umbrella Kirkman wrapped production on his first feature film, Air, starring The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus and Academy Award-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou.
David Alpert
David Alpert is a partner in Circle of Confusion LLC, a film and television management and production company with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Circle represents writers, directors, actors, producers and content creators. In addition to his dual role as a representative and producer, David runs the operations of the rapidly-growing company. David is also a partner at Skybound Entertainment, a multiplatform entertainment company with a presence in comic books, television, film, live events, digital content, and gaming.
On the television front, David is an Executive Producer on the record-breaking hit AMC series The Walking Dead, based on the Skybound comic by Robert Kirkman. Alpert will once again team up with Kirkman to executive produce Outcast which is based off Kirkman’s graphic novel. The series is set up at Fox International and Cinemax. David’s other television projects, to name a few, include Clone (SyFy) and Pax Romana (Syfy).
On the feature production side, David has produced three films in the past year. He recently wrapped production on the action comedy, American Ultra starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg. His other films include AIR, the sci-fi thriller starring Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy) and the true life story, Spare Parts featuring Marisa Tomei and George Lopez.
David is shepherding over a dozen studio projects, including Intern’s Handbook at Sony Pictures with David Franco attached to star, Inherit the Earth with Michael Bay at Sony, and Antwerp with J.J. Abrams for Paramount. David is also prepping an adaptation of the graphic novel Lore at Warner Brothers with Dwayne Johnson attached to star and David Green attached to direct.
David is an honors graduate of Harvard University and New York University Law School.
