Euskal Encounter 13 international Demoscene presentationWhat is Euskal Encounter 13?You may have heard about Euskal Party, if so it's the same party but we changed the name two years ago. :-) Euskal is a party held yearly in the Basque Country (northern Spain, besides France). This year it is the 13th time we have a Euskal. Euskal started as an Amiga scene party and opened to PC in its third edition. Time has changed things a lot and currently it isn't a scene-only party, but demoscene is a key part of it. Last year we had more than 500 people interested in demoscene, including almost all active spanish sceners and demogroups. We think that it is important to share a party with non-sceners, both to show the demoscene creativity outside and to get new people interested in the scene. These are some demogroups that attended last year:
As you can see, some of them were nominated for Scene.org Awards 2002 and 2003. Euskal Encounter 11 compo results can be checked out here Surprising as it is, Mat!^Ozone attended too althought he hadn't free entrance! ;-) Give me some quick info about Euskal Encounter 12!
Tell me more about Demoscene at EuskalThese are the compos we're having this year:
Supported platforms for demos and intros are: PC win32/linux, Amiga, Mac and Java 1.4. During the party we'll make demo and intro projections, both actual and ancient ;) You can even contribute with your own projection! Special scener treatment includes best 256 places reserved for sceners both to watch bigscreens and to have very close contact, so that we have an excelent scene spirit! Finally, sceners can get a reservation for entrance ticket before all the others. Ask for your own before 15th april! Full information on http://www.euskal.org/euskal12/escena.php. Contact enlar/rgba for any further info. Give me a good reason not to miss this one!Last year Mankind won demo and 64KB intro compos, taking a step forward intro their hegemony. Will BoaH, rgba, Stravaganza and Spöntz continue with their Breakthrough performance? Come, crush them all out and take over demo and intro compos... if you can! ;-) See you there! |
