Amateur game competitions
Requirements to participate
- A ticket with seat for computer in EE12. We won't accept participants that do not have such a ticket.
- Not to participate in Game Gune; both competitions are mutually exclusive.
- It is possible to sign up for competitions from inscription openning after official
party start until available slots are occupied; the sign up must be done using
Euskal Encounter 12 intranet website (www.ekparty.org). It is necessary to be
phisically in the party to sign up.
General rules
- The participant must have read these rules. When you sign up for a competition you're
implicitly accepting them, so you have to obey them and any decision taken by
the organization.
- On each round, you must find your rival and agree on the match's parameters (captain's
seats will be shown on the intranet). Match's computer can be any of the following:
one of the computers of the players, one of any attender of Euskal that is willing
to host it, or a organization operated server, for which a reservation must be made
for a match hour; to do this contact organization in Control.
- If there is an agreement between match players and organizators give permision, it is
possible to change maps and rules set in these rules. If there is no agreement, these
rules must be obeyed. Specific rules for each compo are honored if in conflict with general
rules.
- If the game allows it, you must save the match by any means possible (logs and demos).
Organization crew may request them.
- It is forbidden to use bugs and out-of-game applications to get advantage, and of course any
phisical or language violence. It is forbidden to make use of deffects in the game to
get advantage too.
- If someone suspects the adversary has broken any rule, the teams can ask for logs and demos
to their contenders after the match has finished.
- The organization crew may take decisions on situations not foreseen in the rules as necessary.
- If the result is not delivered on time, the match will be solved randomly or disqualifying both
players.
- If after 15 minutes have passed from the beginning of the time stablished to play a match
and you can't find your adversary, you must go to control to notify this. If he doesn't
present himself after 15 minutes more, he will be declared not presented.
- Timetable for matches and adversaries will be published on Euskal Encounter 12 intranet,
www.ekparty.org. Participants must check the information there to know when they must
play a match and who is their adversary.
- There are specific rules for each competition that participants must know and obey.
